Never thought I would hear the words slimed Bioncle alive

I binged the entire series and for me, as a long time TF fan, I enjoyed it more as it went on. I wasn't to sure about it when watching siege, but Earthrise and Kingdom won me mostly over. I have my nit picks with it, but I would tell most viewers to watch the whole trilogy before making a decision on it. It takes a lot from other TF series, and watching some of those before this show might help the viewing experience. But it isn't required to, new comers can get enough enjoyment out of it too. 6/10 for me. Liked what they were trying to do, but it took a little long to get hooked and certain elements could've been executed better.

I'll say for sure. I felt something seeing all those people at the end speak about these games. It really felt good. That even decades later War for Cybertron & Fall of Cybertron has a dedicated Fanbase. A Fanbase that refuses to die off. We'll never forget these games. Even when death takes us. The legend of these games will live on. Till the day all are one

While TF Energon is still my least favorite TF show due to its numerous problems, I do see your points. And I like how you shined a positive light here with all the highlights you pointed out. In a way, it makes me see Energon in a slightly different light. Its not a great show by any stretch, but it had its moments.

Optimus is everything right in a leader. Strength without bloodlust. Kindness without smothering. Compassion without condescension. Confidence without arrogance. Responsibility without self-aggrandizement. Respect without expectations. Honesty without harshness. Wisdom without obfuscation. I come from a military family, and everyone I've asked has agreed that, if they'd had an officer like Optimus rather than the ones they actually got, they would have marched to the ends of the Earth for him.

A lot of heroes have an essences that defines their role as heros, batman is the day your wrongdoings catch up to you, superman is the wall that will shield you, spider man is the person that can, so he raises even when everyone and everything is against him. I have always wondered how to describe Optimus in that way, until right this moment when I heard your final line, and the most beautiful thing is, it's not that optimus doesn't have darkness, his light is just that much brighter and warmer.

Something I love about the tf prime backstory is that at the end of day, Megatron was absolutely right, and Optimus agreed. but it also shows how anger, abuse and oppression can twist a righteous ideal. I truly believe megatron in tdp wasn't power hungry when he came un front of the counsel, I think he just presented his Idea through the way his life shaped him. He was a gladiator, a brutal fighter. all his life the only thing he knew for sure was that the one that survives is the better, more ruthless fighter and that the way to earn respect and leadership is through combative might. Do you really expect someone like that to be peaceful? His life instilled in him the violence, and the war and (what he took as) betrayal took away what was left in him that still seeked a better future.

The inacessible terminal in shockwaves lab was an audio log of him talking about his arm cannon, the "sling shock" that was a dlc weapon back then. In the log, he calls it a weapon "with the power to rival even megatrons." I miss this game so much, was only 12 when it came out.

Love the more funny, energetic, creative editing style. Like “aaaah, my f*cking arm!!!” And switching to a different transform gear to transition to the next section of the video. Reminds of a Relax Alex video. Btw, Relax Alex has the most engaging video essays. Because it’s not just him ranting and explaining. He cracks jokes, had funny editing, simplifies things but doesn’t talk down or think he’s superior. I feel like you could get a lot of inspiration from his videos

Oh the thumbnail changed

You know what could be a really good story? That seems to have gone on in G1. Megatron becomes Galvatron. But his growing hatred for being under Unicron's command stays with him. He even throws fits of rage as his he is just used by Unicron or is reminded of his servatude. Then when Galvatron is defeated and the duo find him. I do suggest it should not be full on funny. Maybe have him look around frantically as he feels no strings attached to him. This goes on for a few seconds before he realizes this but not the fact that Unicron is still alive. And then he goes wacky hitting everyone in sight maybe even being friendly with one before just hitting him after a few minutes. Show how unpredictable Galvatron is. Then overtime the Decepticons faction he once led is separated. He barely controls his troops anymore because he's not right in the head. Sound like a interesting idea?

Prowl shouldn't have been killed off. He's the first Prowl to not be a rude maniac, and they just kill him off.

If this show oughta be redone in HD, I'd say upscale the completely hand drawn shots, and reanimate the vast majority of the CGI shots, even those involving humans. Sure, it'd cost a helluva lotta money, but anything goes in keeping the CG to an absolute minimum. Oh, and a new dub from the ground up.

honestly would love to bring up one of idk last comics being king grimlock being a short story where its set serious character development for him, its honestly what made him one of my favorites due to the unique way he now view things like kindness

My favorite transformers show.

TFP is better than TFA in my opinion, one of the reasons being. World Building, I actually am interested in the history Cybertron. How Unicron became the Planet Earth. The rivalry between Unicron and Primus. Megatrons motivation and view for his conquest. Optimus Primes time with Alpha Trion. With animated the human villains felt weak and realistically should mever be a threat against Cybertronians. The world building in animated felt boring. As I wasn't interested in getting to know Cybertrons history. And where the hell is Unicron in this one? And the Matrix of Leadership isn't a big deal? That was the final straw for me. The only thing saving the show was Tom Kenny's Starscream as he gives the best performance in the show. The Megatron in animated felt like a leader but he didn't command the respect that Frank Welker's Megatron in TFP did. Plus the variety of Cybertronians in TFP are vast when comapared to TFA. And I have the same problem of Optimus Prime that I had with him in Robots in Disguise. He doesn’t feel important at all. He doesn’t give me the leadership vibe. TFP Optimus Prime was the definitive "Strong enough to be gentle" version that encapsulated everything Optimus Prime is supposed to be. Something I hate most about alternate versions of Optimus Prime. Is the versions that just keep failling over and over again to seem relatable. That just isn't engaging enough. He should be able to make bad judgements but not to the point he starts to look incompetent. I'm looking at you Netflix WFC Trilogy.

TFA was my introduction to transformers. It is the reason I am in this community. It was why I sought out other iterations of transformers.

I really don’t care what anyone says. This version of optimas prime not only is the definition of the character but it’s not that he can’t beat megatron it’s that he doesn’t want to kill, he could have let him die but didn’t. This show was super short but i really enjoyed it. I dont think optimas was weak Megatron is just a strong foe. In G1 show Megatron was a pushover. Idk I could go on and on I just had a really fun time with this show.
